AMR OPS app · Authority for Medical Responsibility

Last updated: 2026-10-03

العربية

Who we are

AMR OPS is an internal app published by the Authority for Medical Responsibility (جهاز المسؤولية الطبية), State of Kuwait, and is developed and operated by the Authority's IT department. The app is for the Authority's employees only. It lets them check in, check out, record a presence punch during the day, and view their attendance history. User accounts are created and managed by the Authority; it is not possible to sign up from within the app.

Data collected by the app

Only when you record a punch (check-in, presence punch, or check-out), the app collects:

  • Your device location (precise, or approximate if you choose so in your device settings), to confirm you are inside your worksite area.
  • The location accuracy, and whether the location comes from a mock-location app.
  • The punch type (check-in, presence punch, or check-out) and time, and your device's clock time.

The app does not collect location in the background or at any other time.

Data used from employee records

To sign you in and show your information, the app uses data the Authority already holds in its employee records: your username, name, employee number, and the mobile number the login verification code is sent to. The app does not collect this data from you.

What the app does not collect

  • Biometrics: the app may ask you to confirm with your fingerprint or face before recording any punch. This check is performed entirely by your device's operating system; the app receives only a success or failure result. No biometric data is sent to the Authority or stored by the app.
  • The app does not collect location continuously or in the background.
  • The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking tools.

Data stored on your device

After you sign in, the app stores a login token on your device to keep you signed in. The token is deleted when you sign out.

How we use data

  • To record and confirm attendance at the workplace.
  • To verify your identity when you sign in.
  • To protect accounts and prevent misuse, such as mocked locations.

Data is not used for advertising or any other purpose.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with any third party for advertising or any other purpose. Login verification codes are sent through the government-approved SMS service. All data is hosted on servers owned and managed by the Authority, and is disclosed only where required by law in the State of Kuwait.

Data retention and security

Attendance records are retained in accordance with the State of Kuwait government records regulations and the Authority's policies. All communication between the app and the Authority's servers is encrypted (HTTPS), and access to data is limited to authorized staff.

Your rights and data deletion

Your data is managed under the Authority's policies as a government entity. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact the IT department at it@amr.gov.kw or the Administrative Affairs department.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any changes are published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
